The Australia Day long weekend is here, and Perth’s got plenty happening from Friday 23rd January through to Monday 26th January 2026. Langley Park transforms into a massive family zone with over a kilometre of activities, entertainment, and Perth’s best spot to watch the drone and fireworks display. From 3pm, you’ll find freestyle motocross and BMX stunt shows, carnival rides, a skydive display, St John First Aid Awareness, the iNSTRUCKTA! Safety Truck, and loads more.<\/span><\/p>\n New for 2026 is the Multicultural Activation Zone with cultural performances, hands-on experiences, and community stalls. The Reflect Respect Celebrate Film Dome returns too, screening educational films including Koora, Koora: A Long Long Time Ago<\/i>, The Story of Us<\/i>, and Australian Values<\/i> on rotation throughout the afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n The evening wraps up with a spectacular 30-minute drone and fireworks display from 8:30pm over the Swan River. The show combines drone formations with fireworks, all synced to a soundtrack broadcast on FM 89.3 (within 5km radius of Langley Park).
