If you\u2019re in Perth and love spring, you\u2019re in for a treat – there are loads of amazing events that celebrate wildflowers, blooms, local food, art and fresh air. Here are some of the best spring events happening currently around Perth this season!<\/p>\n
31 August \u2013 21 September 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n Just an hour north of Perth, Chittering SpringFest is one of WA\u2019s prettiest region-wide celebrations, bringing together wildflower walks, local wine and produce, markets, live music, crafts and history. It\u2019s a chance to explore rolling countryside and enjoy the colours and flavours of spring in a relaxed, community atmosphere.<\/p>\n 12 \u2013 29 September 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n Kings Park comes alive in September with thousands of native wildflower species, wellness events, art installations, guided walks and family activities. The festival is a highlight of WA\u2019s wildflower season, showing off the incredible diversity of flora right in the heart of the city.<\/p>\n 22 August \u2013 10 October 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n Araluen\u2019s gardens transform into a sea of colour with more than 250,000 tulips and countless other spring bulbs in bloom. Alongside the vibrant displays, visitors can enjoy music, picnics and even twilight concerts among the flowers, making it one of Perth\u2019s most enchanting seasonal traditions.<\/p>\n 15 August – 15 October<\/strong><\/p>\n From late August to early October, the countryside outside Perth bursts into bright yellow as the canola fields bloom. Places like York<\/a>, Northam<\/a> and Goomalling<\/a> are known for their sweeping fields, which make for incredible road trip views and photo stops. Many farms have dedicated viewing spots or walking trails so visitors can enjoy the flowers without damaging crops, and local caf\u00e9s and bakeries often get into the spirit with seasonal treats.<\/p>\n 12 \u2013 29 September 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n In the Perth Hills, S&R Orchard opens its gates for a magical celebration of blossoms, with rows of cherry and fruit trees bursting into colour. Families can wander through the orchards, enjoy food trucks, kids\u2019 rides and photo-worthy views, all wrapped up in a cheerful festival vibe.<\/p>\n 27 September \u2013 4 October 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n A Perth institution, the Royal Show brings together agriculture, animals, showbags, rides and food in a week-long spectacle at Claremont Showground. Alongside the classic attractions, spring is celebrated with stunning flower displays and competitions that showcase WA\u2019s best blooms. It\u2019s a lively mix of colour, tradition and fun, making it a favourite for families looking for entertainment and a taste of country life in the city.<\/p>\n About 2 hours north of Perth, Lesueur is one of the richest spots for wildflowers in WA. More than 900 plant species grow here, and in spring the hillsides explode in colour with orchids, kangaroo paws, and banksias. The trails are well marked and scenic, perfect for a spring road trip.<\/p>\n Closer to home, just 45 minutes from Perth, Walyunga is known for its river views and granite boulders\u2014but come spring, the wildflowers bring extra colour to the walking trails. You\u2019ll spot everlastings, wattles, and plenty of native blooms along the Swan River.<\/p>\n One of WA\u2019s oldest national parks and just a short drive east of Perth. Spring adds carpets of native flowers along the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail and around the waterfalls.
